On March 18th and March 20th, about a thousand people came out to the ballpark to see "The Mighty Casey", an event sponsored by the UNCG School of Music and the Greensboro Grasshoppers. Fans were treated to Dixieland Jazz, Barbershop Quartets and other activities in the children's area. First Horizon Park truly is a great ballpark. The stadium combined with its setting makes you feel like you're in a major league ballpark on a smaller scale.
Opening day is getting closer and closer! Currently there is ongoing construction at the children's playground an main plaza. The plaza will include sculptures and a waterfall when complete.
